I think we'd be better off setting up a group buy on the Tex headers, as I actually got a reply from those guys the same day I emailed them-- plus they're a true long tube and have shown some serious results with countless dyno sheets to back it up, and we don't have anything but a picture of the EK headers-- and some sketchy info at best--
im down for the tex headers.

The Tex's need o2 bungs and the exhaust needs to be worked a bit to connect to them, plus you'll need to install a cat, but the EK's need that too-- so all in all, 02 bungs and a little exhaust work shouldn't be more than $250 -- hell some shops in the country or smaller towns will install an X-pipe for that much--
The true long tube header is considered to be the best design and the freeest flowing so if that's worth anything to you......
Either would be a large improvement, and I would buy the EK's if they could cough up a *Couple* of dyno sheets....

if their picture of the header is right, then the 02 bung and egr flange is already there and that does not have to be added. so in effect, all you have to do is the connection of the ek headers to the rest of the exhaust. tex headers need an 02 bung incorporated as well as the egr if you wish to keep that.

Based upon the argument that the EK's are plug and play, we're still noting that the factory exhaust is being used, so the fact that the extra money could be put toward a true X-pipe and a little exhaust work means that if you're careful how you talk to the exhaust shop, you could end up with a custom header back exhaust with long tube headers for not much more than the cost of the EK's alone.
There seem to be some difficulties associated with using the Tex's with a manual clutch fork type R154 if you want to do a swap later on though, so if you get Tex's you'd need to source the tranny with the internal slave cylinder on the input shaft itself-- If you get the external slave cylinder type tranny, the EK's or Jbrady's headers are a better bet in terms of fitment, and I think, though I'm not sure, that the external fork type R154 is much more common.
I hope I'm wrong about that though... I'm really wanting to do a manual swap.

here is an email he sent me
**The price will not go down as it is an expensive part to make (made out of SUS304 stainless steel). I am willing to offer a group discount, however i e-mailed club lexus a few months ago and never got a respond. If you would like to post on your own and let people know we are willing to give a discount that would be great.
If we can get 10 people then i can do the headers for $899.00 plus shipping. Or if we can get 20 people then i can do it for $799.00 plus shipping.**
so if no one interested it's not gonna happen
