Very true. I was reading some of the posts concerning the Australian company that makes the kit to hook a 5 spd to the SC400. That seemed like a pretty good idea. I would think that it would cost less, as well as you being able to recoup some of your costs when you sell your original automatic tranny. At that point you would have a 290HP (depending on year) beast. Motor Trend lists the auto version as having a 0-60 of 6.1, and 1/4 mile of 14.6. I would approximate the manual numbers as something like 5.5 and 14. Then if you saw fit you could do the supercharger on that, or the 5 liter stroker kit or both.
I need more money.

Not too expensive either, a lot cheaper that stroking a SC400 and then supercharging it

Actually the stroker kit and cams were under $1800. Drop in a nice sized NOS kit and it would give the SC300 turbo a run for its money, for about half the price. Factor in all the other upgrades while the engine was cracked, and the cost would be about the same as Turbo'ing a SC3 .
I wish they still sold the stroker kit. I bet they still do, its probably in Japan or Australia somewhere.
Untill then, people like Bean still get to pick on us stock 400 people.
