Default xerd headers :( VIDEO

i recentry installed xerd headers on my sc300, and i am getting this anoying buzzing or like a rattling sound at right about 2500RPM, i know i dont have any leaks because i checked all over, even wrapped the bottom where the header meets the pipe with high temp exhaust foil type material which made a great seal. when i was installing it i used hi temp silicone on the gaskets, because kevip from MVP recommended it. anyways anyone on here have this issue? or does anyone know how to correct it. or maybe its just how its supposed to sound.

is the rattling coming from the engine bay... or some where else in the exhaust system. If it's not from the engine bay look near the rear section of the exhaust layout. After the main cat there is a clamped on heat shield. Mine is starting to rattle. But if it's from the engine bay, some noise comes with the new headers. Because they are thinner so more noise goes by.

it sounds like its coming from the engine bay towards the bottom of the headers

your exhaust(downpipe) may have come off the tranny exhaust bracket.

i don't have anything to contribute in terms of your noise, but can you post a sound clip?

your exhaust might be hitting the tranny, causeiong the noise.

found the prblem guys, left 2 bolts loose on the manifold itself, sound pretty sweet now. so if you can close this thread or delete it, problem solved. stupid mistake by all means. if anyone wants a good HP gain get these headers, you can definatly feel the power. now taht i tightemned the bolts no more rattling at all.

Can you write up a little diagram on how you rigged up the universal O2 to the single wire factory O2?

Disregard my post. I just figured out that they sold me the OBD2 sensors instead of the OBD1 which is a 1 wire sensor.
