agreed on not needing a TT even on an only oil cooled turbo. if you have owned aftermarket turbos for quite some time you will find that you will blow the turbo up some other way long before enough oil ever bakes enough to kill your catridge. most of it will drain out before ever baking inside any ways. yes a turbo timer helps im not fighting that but they are pretty useless ive run a 60-1 with out a turbo timer for two years (im amazed that it lasted that long with the abuse i put it through) when i pulled it apart for a rebuild you would never tell it came off a car with no turbo timer. your lucky to get a year of hard use out of any larger turbo without replacing something.
