Default radiator question

i was driving today and my low coolant light came on, i topped it off and well, its still on, but now my needle is jumping, but instead of getting hotter, its actually going down, then back to normal temp (right below half). so how do i fix this,it doesnt always stay on, sometimes it will go off, been like this for a week now, how do i get air out of my radiator? will air cause the sensor to go off?

To get air out of your radiator run the engine with the radiator cap off for a couple minutes, turn the car off top it off with coolant and put the cap back.

If your coolant is low which it shouldn't be, there is probably a leak in the radiator. I would recommend replacing it.
