Default Help removing my Intake manifold

Just got a 1995 SC300 w/109K, well anyway this week i decided toi wash my engine it was kind of dirty wanted to get it to look clean. Anyway after that next day the engine started to hesitate, so i thought water got in somewhere, so took of the front engine cover too see it there is some water around where the spark plugs go. Opened up to find alot of motor oil literly covering the spark plugs along with water. from my understanding the valve cover gasket aer bad and need to be changed, by the way is that a common problem with 2jz-ge engines. Now in order for me to take the valve cover off i have to take the intake manifold off right. So i started taking i off, i kind of got everything figured out, my questions are do i have to take off the whole intake manifold where it goes to the motor or that second piece on top because that is what i started doing. I removed the four sbolts on top but there is 2 to the bottom of it and i took one of them off too, i just cant seem to figure out how to take the one at the buttom to the back, there is not way i can get in there. I need some help on what i need to take off in order for me to take off the valve cover, are there any guides, please help

you'll need to remove the "Y" part of the intake. no need to remove the whole thing. if i remember correctly, it's 4 13mm bolts and 2 13mm nuts where "Y" connects to the rest of the intake manifold and then 4 13mm nuts holding the bracket in the front of the "Y". then u've got the vaccuum lines and coolant hoses. hope that helps.

you should be able to remove the driver side valve cover but just removing the throttle body. I don't see why the intake manifold would get in the way of anything. It's off to the side just enough to get the bolts/screws.

could be a bad gasket? just take it off and put some silicone around the gasket and tighten it up or get a new gasket
