Default car dies three times, now wont start!!!!

what a day it was. Yesterday go out to start the car, turn the key the whole car goes dark. WTF???!!! Get a jump from my mom's car, get it started and im on my merry way. I take some time to drive it around and get some charge back in the battery. No biggie, plus i miss a little school....hehehe..

Get home later and install replacment headlights. Get in the car, try starting like a good car should, car goes black again. WTF?!!!!!!! Again get a jump, starter sounded slluggish, but i get it started drive it for a while, but i didn't try the headlights in fear of draining the batt. Two times in one day, hmmmm....

Finish up playing tennis at the country club, go to start the car, and darkness falls once again. GRRRR...... flagged a friend of mine down (she thought i was really happy to see her LOL) and got a jump. This time instead of turning over and starting, loud clicking soound from the starter and the dash is flickering. When i remove the cables the car goes dark. Third times the charm.........

now, along with a nice thin layer of dirt on my car, it sits at the club waiting for salvation. Im going to try using the batt. out of my dad';s nissan to see if it is the battery or the starter. He thinks there is a drain or short somewhere in the car, but i was able to start it after school. Ill post after trying the batt. idea, but this really weirds me out....can someone call out the ghost thats haunting my car???

Default Well Thanks a lot.....for Nothing!! lol jk

Tried to jump it one more time before doing batt. transplant. First time smoke came from the nissan (some dead leaves) but i noticed that when i tried to start it the dash lights stayed on but the starter wouldnt turn over. Gave it another jump and all of a sudden, my car was back to life. WTF!!!!!Guess the ghost left, but wow was that weird. Oh well, at least my ECU is reset for the summer LOL! Thanks for the help though!!

You probably have corroded battery terminals. Pull them and clean them with one of the wire brushes, the battery cleaner spray or baking soda, and then put some type of protectant on (I prefer the purple spray or dielectric grease)>

if your batt is too dead it takes a while, its not gonna start right away... once mine drained and i had to wait like 5 mins and still it barely started then... maybe itll turn over once then click a bunch of times after that

I had a similar experience when I purchased my SC300 last year, the car died on me 2 times. We thought it was just the battery at first, we bought a new one and the car died again within a few days.
We finally figured out that the alternator was no good, and searching thru the forums made me realize the distrubutor was leaking into the alternator, so check them out and see if they're ok.
