Default rev to acceleration problem

if i hit the gas full way, sometimes if im in a low gear (sc400 auto) ill hit it at about 3000rpm. the rpm will jump all the way to 5500rpm before actually accelerating sometimes

also, i have a ticking noise in my engine. sounds like it coming from my serpentine belt.

any help greatly appreciated

got the same **** happenin', been happenin' since i had the car even after the mods (customed borla exhaust, dragon T.C., injen short ram intake, ls4 brakes), just lettin' you know. The guy i took it to to get the T.C. put in said that noise are the fuel injectors and the jump in rpm's before actual perfomance lies in the lags of transmission in timing and rev-limiting, i want to put a t-6066 tranny in mine, but thas way later, let me know if u find anything different out,

uh usually rpms rising with no speed increase means tranny is slipping....... havn't heard too much about toyota auto's slipping how many miles on the tranny?
