Default Aem Ems?

I tried searching but my browser seems to wanna' play games with me so I just made a thread. Does anyone here know much about the AEM EMS for the 2JZGTE? I ordered a JDM 2JZGTE and it didn't come with an ECU, and was wondering if I should just go for an EMS now so I don't dwarf myself or spend unneeded money. Does anyone have any tips on this product? Its about 1700.00 shipped from the site so I dunno. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

$1700 is a fair price at best, but if you don't have the ECU for the GTE, might as well go standalone. Although some GTE ecu's can be found for relatively cheap ~$300 or so.

Yea AEM is the best way to go but like Idrewfelix said you can get oem ones for cheap I've seen 6sp obd1's for as low as $150 on supraforums. I've also seen auto ones there too.

I have US-spec automatic transmission Supra TT ECU for sale. I think you must get a US-spec harness too in order to make the MAF work.
