Definitely, a good kit is always the most complete solution, but that's not to say that you can't piece one together browsing the classifieds and Ebay.

is that xs power kit worth it? what's a good kit that will put me right around 500hp.

500 is a little pushing it i would say 450hp i use the xs kit with the right know-how its not a problem. btw there is still fabrication with the xs kit thats why its not as expensive.

The question you need to be answering is if you're going to swap the headgasket or not. Doing that opens up a lot more potential in the motor
