Default Electric Fans

FYI:
Machanical fans cool better but add load to the motor
Electrical fans would increase fuel economy and power-but not noticeable.
...so not worth it unless you need the space. (i.e. FMIC)

You should actually state which car you'd like to take the fan off. Is it a SC300 or SC400? Anyway, on my SC400, I swapped out the hydraulic fan with dual 12" fans on Ebay for $80. It's pretty easy to put the fans on, but it'd take some time to fabricate the plate to block the pump and use an aftermarket pulley on that plate.

I don't believe 10-20 hp was gained. That's a lie marketing. However, I honestly feel the car gets just a little bit more responsive than before. I believe it frees up maybe 1-2 hp. And not even 5 hp because it will give a big difference because I worked on cars and knew how 5 additional hp feel.

I have two 12" electric fans installed. Flows 4,000cfm, and the cooling is great. Looks a lot better, I free'd up a bunch of room, and I got rid of that ugly stock fan and shroud. It does, however, draw 25 amps per fan.. so I also swapped out my alternator for a high output one. Stock alternator puts out about 80 amps, I put in a 150amp alternator. The cooling is great, and I have no complaints at all. I'll take some pics if anyone wants them.

That's a lot of current for your fans. My each fan only draws 9 amps and flows about 2200 CFM. I don't know if my fan rating is correct or not but it flows really great and I love it.
