Need boost advice
Hi there, Awesome forum. Have been doing some reasearch, but still have some ???, I got a 1995 SC300 2JZ-GE Auto w/110K on it, runs well as far as i know, did a compression test couple of weeks ago it came out 210 all accross. Anyway i want to boost the motor, i am going to be putting together the turbo kit piece by piece. My qestions are how much boost can i run on that motor+tranny safely without doing any internal work on it, and how long will the motor last me, if not abusing it too much. I just want to build a daily reliable NA-T.

yusych,
you're asking good questions . If you have no timing control with your aftermarket fuel controlling solution, don't go above ~7psi on pump gas...especially if daily driving and reliable are your goals. If you're using a stand alone engine management system like the AEM EMS, you can squeeze out 380-400rwhp on good 93 octane pump gas and properly sized turbo, but that is at the limit. So, 12psi with full timing control on stock 2jz-ge engine and pump gas is do-able. Depending on the turbo, it can net you 350-400rwhp and you're car will be a real streat screamer . You can get more power with the 10:1, but I mention the above limits since safety and reliability are important to you.

thanx for the reply dejacky, that is the other thing i wanted to ask, say if my goals were from 320-350rwhp, what turbo would i need would the t3/t4 turbo do it. See i have been looking at alot of the turbos on ebay i just dont know which one would work well with that motor. The other thing if my goals are like i mentioned above would i need to get a bigger fuel pump, injectors, AFC, Piggyback ECU, what else am i missing???
