*New Turbo*Bigger Injectors*LSD
Some of you might know this, but I blew my 1j. Leaned out with the 440cc inj.
I picked up a short block, dropped it in. While I was at it I added a few goodies.
550 usdm 2j injector, New Precision GT4082, and an LSD rear end with 4.08 gears.
got it tuned and made 485@22psi, Was a bit lean up top so we put it safely
at 20psi and 468.
The injectors will go more. my fuel lines are not allowing more fuel to reach the injectors. So to be safe I will park right here.
Car feels very nice and I am very impressed with this turbo.
I'll post up the sheet in the AM.
Here's my previous set up:

at low boost it's pretty flat @ 11.5 a/f,
once you throw into high boost the FPR spikes dumping all that fuel at that range. So if I pull fuel at that range I'll be running lean at low boost so I rather be rich and not lean.

Nice! Now thats a much better looking powerband I bet the GT40R responds slightly better than the old T70 doesnt it?
If thats still the 2.5L block; thats even more impressive. Its hard to get moving towards the 500whp barrier with the 1jz since it doesnt breathe so well compared to a 2jz.

we built a 2.4l 4 cylinder Talon that makes 501 whp on pump gas, 23 psi on a PT67...
the JZ head should flow better than that

If I get a top feed 680 or 720 injectors 2 dual feed fuel rail and a better flowing fuel line, I'll break 600.

7psi on a sp61 will get in the 4xx. But that is about it, you're taking a chance and it's not feasible to go higher than that without digging into your pocket book.
There are many reason why someone would do a 1.5jz.
My reason would of been that I blew my engine so as a step up I would put in a 2jz bottom to add more torque to the equation, but you limiting the potential to the head of the 1jz simply because it does not flow as much as the 2jz.
This is a proven fact.

Im not sure where you got this info at but 2jz guys DO NOT take 1jz heads as an upgrade. A common myth that seems to never die is the 1jz head or the 2jzge head flows better than the 2jzgte head. That is just plain false.

what is kinda sad though, is that the JZ series heads suck in flow compared to the DSM heads... I see flow numbers in the 150-160's on the JZ heads, and my stock 4G63 head was well above 200 cfm flow at .400 lift... granted the JZ's get 6 cylinders instead of 4, but still... I'm kinda amazed at that... (I'll dig up flow numbers tonight)
