I have the same problem, turn off like 4 sec still pump runs and shuts off, also I am using a 10 amp fuse, I replace it on sunday with another walbro 255, because it was getting stuck or stop working, so I have to tap the gas tank behind the rear seats so it would start again, but now is doing it with the new pump, I will try to make a video.

I've done this on 3 Lexus Sc300s- 1992/1994/1995 and all had excellent results!
The 92' would literally die for a split second goign down the highway--FIXED
The 94' was underpowered and sluggish--FIXED
The 95' was because I installed a 12V Walbro--No issues
The pumps run for several seconds after the car turns off then stop. I wouldn't call that a problem unless you verify the pump continously runs, then you need to check your wiring job.

Ok. I just did this mod to my '93 SC400. it was having the "start for 2 seconds and shut off" problem just as described in this thread.
Total time: about 35 minutes, start to finish.
The car started like a champ right away. Time will only tell if this mod solved my problem. I'll be replacing the fuel filter in a few days, as soon as I can get into my garage.
oh yeah.... i did not solder the wires. I used a wire nut and black electrical tape.
I hope we're all good.
Thanks for the advice.

I was driving home from work, with the Traction control off, and I noticed the check engine light came on. I pulled over at a car wash, and could not get the Trac control back on.
When I got home, I shut the car off, turned the key to the on position but did not start it. I could then turn Trac off and on. I then started the car and TracOff was light. I could set it to on, which is the default.
Is this possibly related to the FuelPump ECU mod I did last night? Should I undo it?

any of you folks that have a dead ECU, I would like to troubleshoot and repair. i think there is prob a common failure, and once I have one or two of these to look at, perhaps it is a simple fix.. Let me know if you want to send one.

Tried this mod and now car in no start... Like getting no fuel.
Tried both with connector in ECU and out.
Same no start
Next reversed mod back to original mode--still no start!
Need to reset main ECU??
Tried batt disconnect no difference...
Thoughts anyone please??

How did you connect the wires? solder, wirenut, tape, butt connector?
You should take a multi meter set at 20V, ground out the black lead on the chassis and measure the volts at your connection at either side of the connection to make sure it's consistent.
I used solder for this mod, and after a couple years I checked it and it wasn't passing through but 10.5V, so I used high quality marine butt connectors and it's now passing 11.5V through the butt connector.
I wouldn't be using wirenuts on any auto electrical connection.

So I'm gonna try and do this to my babe but I don't get the wire part... cut the two wires then what strip them what if I can't solder them? And after joining the two wires do I do the same to the wires that are still apart of the other wires?
