break light is probably the switch under your break pedal is broken.
once it breaks the brake lights stay illuminated to let you know something is wrong.

as for the relay or the cut and jump its up 2 u.
the cut and jump is much easier/quicker but slightly dangerous
and the relay takes longer to do but safer.

you could always just jump it to test it out and if that the fix then do the relay. hope that helps.

brake light also illuminates with low brake fluid in reservoir
puttering could also be due to bad o2 sensor. Trac illumination accompanies that sometimes.

So should this mod help my car from bogging down and dying after high rpm rev? Also..Will this mod affect any of the safc2 settings or AFR readings? Thank you in advance. BTW, im probably not gonna solder it..but rather just intwine them and electrical tape them together nice and tight...will this be okay? Thanks again.

I did it because my car felt like I had 3 stages... LOL low rpms mid and then after 4-5k rpms it would run fine. I just did this and now it feels a little more even.

you can twist them for now, but I think when you come down again it would be a good idea for us to solder them.

Default cold engine no fuel pump + battery drain...help!

OK theres a lot of info here. Kind of lost. This is my problem and would love a fix. I have a 93 SC300. The car would bog down and would want to stall, I put it in neutral at stop lights and rev the engine to keep it from dieing. Soetimes it would cough and sputter. I replaced the battery and noticed I have a drain.

I put a volt meter on positive terminal and cable and have over 12volts. I removed every fues and relay inside the car and under hood and can't find the drain!????

So I have been disconnecting battery cable when ever I get out of it.

Now car runs great when hot and fires up everytime, till it gets cold. When cold i crank it over and over again sometimes over 30 times and eventually I hear the fuel pump engage and it fires up (sounds like the radio antenna going up) and no problems till it sits for a couple hours and then it won't start. People think I am crazy and tell me to give up that it won't start.

About to do this mod, but i have no soldering skills. Does it have to be soldered or can i just twist the two together and use heatshrink / electrical tape?
