Default SC400 and LSD (limited slip differential)

I searched, but couldn't find a direct answer.

Do any year SC400's come with an lsd stock?

I saw a 1999 SC400 that I might like to buy, but I find it odd that a car that cost $58k new didn't come stock with something as logical as an lsd.

Thanks in advance for any replies

no.

aftermarket products for the MKIV Supra Auto drop right into the differential housing for about a grand.

ps. when searching for something with fewer than four letters, use a wildcard. For example: SC400 stock LSD*

Why is it logical? For the average driver, an open diff makes MUCH more sense. With an LSD, a novice or average driver is much more at risk of spinning in poor conditions

I concur.

I can think of half a dozen 260+hp cars in production in 2007 without an LSD: the IS350 for starters. Why would an LSD be expected in the 90's?

Accept the fact that it is going to take some work to tranform a Lexus into a true enthusiast's sports car. The Lexus line was crafted more for the passenger than the driver, in my opinion.
