new fans! pics

I have Flex fan with auto temp control on my Z32TT, which works fine because I have 2 big side intercoolers.
However, this is a common problem for 2JZ-GTEs.

I used to sweating my *** off as I sat on traffic in 90 degree.
I felt the warm A/C air as the temp gauge went up pass the half mark.
Love that sauna

electric fans are a waste of time on these engines.nothing can cool better than the stock clutch fan .15 mins of hard driving with the ac on and the temp starts raising not to mention the extra voltage your using to run those fans

Actually, there is a fan that puts out about same CFM as OEM without all that rotating mass.
AAP Motorsports Dual Fan Kit with Shroud for 2JZ-GTEs.
It's a bit expensive but it will do it's job.

Taking a quote from the MVP ad:
"This kit includes 2 of the highest flowing Zirgo fans available. The stock clutch fan produces 3,300 CFM of air. The dual Flex-A-Lite fans produce a low 1,200 CFM. This dual fan kit produces 3,350 to 3,400 CFM! No more worries of overheating by installing an aftermarket kit!"

Electric Fans are Great
I've been using electric fans for some time now. I started out using the Flex-a-Lite fans with no problems keeping cool in 95+ weather.
The AAP fans work great also. I have a set for both of my cars.

I have dual electric fans- they flow 2,000 cfm each (4,000 cfm total). I have NEVER had a single problem with the car running too hot or too cool.. and I have a rather large FMIC as well. I drive to and from work/school in 100+ degree heat here in socal. It cleaned up the engine bay quite a bit. I also bought a new alternator (high output, I believe it was 150amps vs the 80-90 amp for the stock alternator). I'll post pics if anyone is wondering what it looks like. They're shrouded too, so it looks pretty good.
I bought them from summit for a little over $200.
