Default 2jz-gte w/ a ge auto trans

how would a ge auto trans hold up with a 2jz-gte motor swap. would it break down fast or hold up pretty well. i tired finding other threads and could not. sorry if this is a repeat.

It would probably last a little while mated to a stock gte, but will fail in the long run especially if it is worn already.

thanks! the guy im buying the engine from has a 6 speed after market trans that is attached to the 2jzgte, which has been changed to s single turbo. he has had the engine and trans in a gen 2 rx-7 and it ran smoothly. he is selling me the engine, including instaling it for me, for $3000, but with the trans he would put it in for $5000. i have about $6000 to spend. dont know if i should just go ahead and put both in or just get the engine buy some wheels and suspension, and get the trans a little later down the road.
