Speaking strickly from a Soarer standpoint: The two C's shifters offered are NOT the same. One is a straight style (remote) shifter and the other is a swan-neck design. The lower part of the shifters is different and they are not interchangable. No idea on JZA70/80 setups, though.

I wrote the soarer solution thread and from what i've played with, it should fit. The nylon bushing might have to be trimmed a bit since one is conical and the other is cylindrical on the bottom of the shifter but either way they are extremely close. Chawk60 is correct that there are two different shifter styles, the swan neck and the straight but you should be able to interchange bushings and seals for 90% of the parts. Hope this helps...

Whatever you decide to do, make sure what you are trying will work before you cut up/mod a C's (it ain't cheap) shifter... Maybe you can sell it and get the correct one for your application?
