Luckily for me, both the Toyota dealership I work for and my local Lexus dealer are Hendrick dealerships, so I get an awesome discount on parts.

Here is a site I use to get a reference on how much parts will cost me. I’ve never ordered anything from them but it’s a useful site. Unfortunately they don’t list part numbers though.

Nice link! This is much better than calling the dealer to get a estimated price on parts! I'm going to add this to my favorites.

KC-

I just updated my thread. I have been amazingly busy with summer grad classes.

Your parts looks awesome. I am not surprised at all that you could get everything done in one day. Most every part you have is a direct bolt on. And, with a lift, dropping the tranny with be very easy.

Good luck man. I will be anxious to see your reaction to the mods.

So this isn’t really an update, I’m still waiting for the headers, but I changed my ignition coils and thought I’d share.

Problem I was having – Low speed cruising (25-30mph), very light throttle, my car was missing a little. Problem a little worse when raining or humid. I had already replaced the caps, rotors, wires and plugs. I tested my ignition coils and resistance was high on the secondary circuit. Spec is no more than .6 ohms, I had .9 ohms on one coil and 1 ohm on the other. It doesn’t sound like allot, but .9 ohms is 50% higher than .6 ohms.

Anyway, changed the coils and the miss is, so far, gone. That was the result I hoped for.

As a bonus, there seems to be less of that famous 1uzfe hesitation off the line. Still a pig, but less so.

Also, there is a ground wire, not sure for what exactly, that attaches to the driver side coil bracket. I cleaned the connection point and installed a new 10mm bolt. To my surprise, I now have less light dimming.

I also ordered 2003 ES300 washer nozzles, but they only sent me one, so I haven’t installed them yet.

I am now seriously considering putting an LSD in my car, thanks to Blizzy. Check out the thread in his sig if you haven’t already seen it.

Thanks for reading,

KC
