It's really up to you whether you want to go the 1jz route or NA-T. I don't see a reason why a 70,000 miles motor needs a rebuild unless you plan to make lots of power or if your motor is in need of a rebuild.

How much power are you planning to make?

Get a real turbo motor and buy a clip or something. more reliable and better in the long run.

Unless you want to pay big bucks for near new, most clip / swap engines have that many miles on them anyway.

If your engine is running strong, mod that.

If it's at all shaky or makes you nervous thinking about it running long term, buy for a swap.
