Default 2jzgte questions

I am ready to do a JDM 2jzgte nonvvti swap in to my 92 sc300.. I;ve been calling a few shops around here on installs. some say it is a straight drop in. Another shop said the oil pan wont fit and needs a US oil pan setup. Is there anyone here with a defenite answer?. I want to have all the parts before I take it to a shop.

I wonder why a shop told me that the oil pans are different. But then again he was installing a jdm 2jzgte supra motor into a non turbo supra.

two cars in Japan got the twin turbo 2JZ: the supra and the aristo (our GS300...believe it or not). The aristo is front sump. The supra is rear sump.

search it up. the more you search; the more you know. you are definitely on the right track though...

I haven't personally done it. Only things that need to be rewired are the body plugs. So figure you get the full wiring diagram for both cars and go from there. There's a guy on SF and ebay going by Dr. Tweak that does wiring like this all day. That might be an option.
