high tank pressure, fuel evaporating
hey guys, here's the situation with my 92 120k sc400, can anyone help?
in warm weather, pressure in the fuel tank would build up to a stupid amount. when i open the cap, it would want to push the cap out and it will vent for a minute (literally). fuel would seem to evaporate and disappear in hot weather.
things i have done:
replaced lines to and from the canister
replaces canister
rerouted the line that goes in the canister directly to intake. this would solve the tank press prob, but would make the engine run way too rich and have hard start probs in hot weather.
bypassed line out from canister to vsv directly to intake, didn't matter. i have applied 12v to the vsv to see if it opens, it does.

no no no
i know the tank builds some pressure, but not this much. when u open the cap it would do a short hiss release, and completely vented when u have the cap off.
on mine, it would vent for more than a minute sometimes. if it's not done venting after i have cap off, and try to put it back on, it will try blow it back out
