i was contemplating also on just getting a fwd DSM because i hear the awd DSMs have a lot of drivetrain problems in the 2Gs. i want the SC300 too but it just seems like an expensive car to have overall as in insurance, gas, modding, and the car in general. and its really a pain to find a 5spd with the options i want. 240sx is also an option but i just know too many people with them.

There's a lot of STOCK 240sx hatches around here. Stock motor with Megan coilovers and some pepboys rims. They follow me around and ask me to pop the hood whenever I actually go out (rare these days with being back in school).

Also contemplate motor swaps. LSx swapped FDs are always nice, 1jz swaps into a variety of cars are fun too.

I wouldnt get a FWD DSM. If you like DSMs get an AWD. I've had two seperate friends that both thought they'd be ok with FWD. WRONG. Torque steering like crazy. By the time they finally hook, they've either killed their ET or the other guy has left them in the dust with no hope of recovery. And freeway pulls arent exactly the DSM's strong suit, it doesnt have the gearing for it. Both of them got smart, they each bought a AWD DSM (one a Talon the other a eclipse) and swapped their parts over

I used to own a 92 TSI AWD. Fun car, but it was sloooow and I didnt have any money back then lol.
