All right, I'm not gonna make this into a pissing contest, but we all know full well that no 300 runs 15 flat in stock trim. 15.8 if you're good, 16.1/16.2 is more the average driver. So, based on a 15.8 +60hp, the high 14's sound perfectly reasonable. Even with an intake and exhaust. That's a full second better with the +60 in the 1J AND the maybe +15 from intake/exhaust.
And back when CL was pretty new and turbocharging wasnt super common and the 1jz swap wasnt even the glimmer in someone's eye; there were a lot of people that dragraced their stock SCs and posted times here. Stock magazine times have 5-speed SCs running 15.0-15.2s and if I was in a full 1/4 mile track, that time most likely would have broken 14s.
Hell, there are NA Supras with boltons running mid 14s with no nitrous. I think you're overgeneralizing. Auto SC != Manual SC.

i would like to see a stock sc do 15.0 because i could break 15.5 with my stock 5sp and alot of people told me that they have never seen a stock sc beat that. I even had a post a while back asking if anyone seen a sc go faster stock... and not one person did, thhey were all turbo or 400s that went faster

Just because you had a post that asked that question doesnt mean everyone responded. Go over to SF and ask that question.
Yeah I beat 15.5 In fact I outran SC400s on a regular basis; even raced two on this very forum; though they dont post anymore. Modded SC400s would get me past 100mph, but it didnt matter at that point. I ran a 9.6 with like a mid 70mph (I think it was a mid 70). I used to have the timeslip somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

There's Scott's excerpt from the C&D review back in 94. C&D was notorious for slow times as well back then. A 92mph trap speed as indicated is plenty capable of nailing 15.0 with a decent launch. I have seen plenty of other reviews ranging from 15.0 to 15.4 but can't find the articles anymore; most of the big review companies like Motortrend have pulled the older reviews articles.
