smithule, i used lexan instead of that black plastic b/c i couldnt find it either... other than that its (2) 2in bolts washers and nuts. then little plastic xmas tree clips from autozone/hilo/orielys/parts house... and some little L-brackets (1in) i would say a package of 4 would be good and some weather stripping.... other than that ur pertty much set....

Lexan? Do they have their own display case at the end of the isle? I forgot to even look for the bolts. I walked around HD for 30 min. didn't see anything resembling plastic, sheet metal or foam so I then gave up.
Someone really should do a decent how to on building a HomeDepot BFI. The Soarer one kinda sucks IMO.

I went ahead and built my BFI out of Duct Tape and Cardboard. It was pretty High quality cardboard so I think it'll be OK as long as it doesn't get too wet under there. I double layered some of it for extra heat resistance too.

Any pictures? I was planning on using cardboard or cereal box to make a template for what I'd need and then cut it out of something else.

On a side note. Does anyone know what that sensor is on the bottom passenger side inside the grill. I couldn't figure out how to disconnect it so i just cut the plastic around it to lower the air scoop.
