dont mean to bring back such an old thread but I have the same exact issue with my 1995 sc400, replaced battery/alt/changed/cleaned grounds.. Did you ever find a full fix to this issue, because the only thing left I'd have to replace would be regulator. Voltage drops from 14-12.5 when car is moved from park to drive, and will cause lights/radio to go off if the rpm's arent high enough to charge the alt.

Looking at your pictures OLT - your ground terminal could have been better. Knu Concepts has some great stuff for that area that I use.
Grounds are everywhere in our cars, especially on the inside. I've got a diagram of all interior grounds if you need it.
TPS and the timing will definitely set the RPM too low when warm and in gear, and that's why I shake my head when I see everyone changing the TPS to increase the transmission shift points, etc. Hell, the TPS even controls the variable runner on the 2JZGE.

yes could I plz get that diagram if its not a big deal, I'd like to check and do everything I can myself before I have to end up bringing it to a mechanic whose good with electrical
