I included brand new fittings for the water lines for you, just in case you didn't notice.

Actually the t78 your referring to is a hair smaller than the t67dbb I just sold you.

The greddy t78 is 66.7mm inducer where the t67dbb is 67mm inducer and will kill the t78 on spool. Everyone thinks the t78 is a true 78mm turbo which it is not, unless off course you buy the new PTE-78, which is a true 78mm but it will spool alot later then the t67dbb.

Food for thought!

"If you're running a 67mm turbo or smaller, head work won't make much of a difference, but if you run anything bigger, I would definitely suggest head work. To give you an example, I have made 770rwhp with a 67GTQ @ 38 psi on a bone stock longblock back in the day. I maxed the turbo and fuel system I had on the car at the time. This was all she had for sure. Needless to say, after some time, the 67 took a ****. I slapped a 74S on, still with the stock longblock, but with a bigger fuel system, and it actually made a little bit less power. The motor could not breath enough for that turbo. I needed at least cams to see more power. The head is where you make the power on the 2J's when you reach enough air flow (bigger turbos)."

From what I have learned about the 2JZ, 67mm turbos appear to be the point of diminishing returns for the engine:
- Use a smaller turbo, and you were probably only a grand or two away from making significantly more power.
- Use a bigger turbo, and you are not only spooling slower, but you are now flirting with the limitations of the stock longblock.

It seems that headwork, at a minimum, is required to make proportionally larger power from a turbo bigger than 67mm. With a 2JZ project on my horizon, I am eyeing up the GT4094R and its 67mm inducer.

I've heard and read the same thing actually Blizzy.

The 67dbb, I just sold to 1jz, maxed out in my supra at 29lbs; because my headwork was done so well. I don't know how the guy above even reached 38lbs.
