Default sc400 harmonics/vibration at 2k

I have a 92 sc400 and searched some but came up with only sc300 problems and solutions. I am getting a large vibration at about 2k rpm and anywhere outside of that it is fine. Is this a harmonic balancer problem or could it also be the torque converter? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

don't discount the transmission mount. changing it out has definitely resulted in good things given the accounts of a number of members.

given that the part costs $50 brand spanking new and take 30 minutes to install with a jack, stands, and a socket, it is worth swapping out to check.

ok that sounds pretty easy but how hard are the motor mounts?

Same problem here too. But I'm quite sure it isn't the TC. The mounts would be the first thing to check, engine mounts first then transmission mounts. Next to check would be the harmonic balancer; since your car is a '92 the rubber in the balancer is most probably deteriorated.
