1JZ problem...

gonna sound silly.. but any chance ur battery is grounding out on your hood. had a similar problem when i first had my supra. someone had a block under the battery so it was just enough that if that car was running it would ground out for a split second when you shut the hood really hard or hit some bumps.... took forever to realize it. good luck either way

yea i checked that, i thought it was that also... but my battery is a mini battery, so it doesnt come close to the hood... and i checked all my stuff...
but anyways!! it hink i really figured the problem now..
i was curious to see why my car would drop idle when i messed around in the passenger side... so i a screw driver and started tapping away at the seats.. the carpet and so on... it finally led me to the ECU COVER/ECU... so i started tapping the plastic cover and, wtf, it would studder or start to die when i tapped it lightly... so i took it all apart with the car on and then it stopped doing it, i tapped around the ecu and stuff but nothing... im thinking maybe a connector was pinched or summin, but so far its all good, no more studdering at idle when i shake or tap the passenger side, ima go for a drive and see whut happens.
thanks for all the help!
