I didnt say you were right or wrong..... I wasnt even talking about cars... You must have interpeted my comment wrong.

You of all people should know my car was always at 1 bar or more....

you got lied to, again. Probably from the same guy that told you CT12a's blow up at 14psi.

I drove for 1 year @ 18psi, and sold the twins to a guy that runs 18psi

yea it was from a dig .Im auto ,he is 5 speed i doubt i would be able to hang with him on the highway tho.the stock twins dont build any boost after 85 mph or so .But the stock twins can be boosted past 14 psi all day for those who have doubts about it and will pull harder out the whole than any single setup imo

I would suggest a 57-61mm turbo for the job. It is a smallish turbo for the engine, but you can safely and easily blow 15-18psi and make 300-400whp.

I seen set ups of a number of guys running 400-450whp on 18-20psi through a 61mm dual ball bearing turbo that makes full boost comfortably before 4k. But, a 57mm on 18psi would give you absurd spool and enough flow to get you deep into the 3xx range.

Not enough though Although I know someone that is pulling 270wkw (approx. 360whp) and was aiming to pull a 12sec 1/4mile until he twisted the tailshaft (JZ motors = torque monsters )

Go for a big single with supporting essentials.
