i would normally take offense but im sure you are not aware that i work on boosted cars so i know about proper gapping for turbo vs na

you didnt specify which stock gap you were using...

but hey, if your that educated with boosted cars that it should be running fine yea?

lets not start fighting guys, this thread has stayed pretty positive the whole way so far. Chino, i appreciate the help, thanks.

ive got the plugs gapped at .33 which is what i read to do on supra forums, i talked to the shop and they said they will be done with the car sometime later today, unfortunately, i will be out of town picking up an lsd and some supra seats. when i find out the compression numbers i'll let you all know

did you connect the two big orange/black wires to a good ignition source?

ummm... which two big orange/black wires.

also, i picked up a stock supra 6spd LSD last night, i will be using the stock sc 4.09 gear for the lsd

compression test came back within normal range for all 6 cylinders so the smoke is coming from the stock twins and we are waiting on new coil packs to address stumbling....

Sc2500tt what wires you reffering to?

the two orange and black wires is for the coilpacks ,this is the two wires on the plug way in the back .most of the time they need to be powered via ignition depending on how you wired your alternator.

alternator is the stock GE alternator plugged into the stock GE plugs that were already in the car. you said they plug way in the back, but in the back of what? Im sorry, i just dont really understand what you mean

the plug is on the passanger side kick panel (where you extended) its a grey plug with 2 big orange/black wires .i think its the only plug with big wires on there
