Boosting my 95SC4 and some other projects

Ok, some track vids. None of these runs were great. I was running 13.6's to 13.7's all night.

I will not be going back to Darlington. If I decided to run the 1/4 mile again after installing the headers and before they open the new track, I'll be going to Rockingham.
I did not like Darlington at all. First off, pants are required to race and I showed up in shorts, I had no idea. Luckily, the tech check in guy lent me a pair. The printers were down so timeslips had to be retrieved from the tower and they were hand written. And the slips for two of my runs were never found.
The thing that pissed me off the most...they made everyone drive through the water box. Not good if you already have traction issues.
I did have fun though. I'm very much looking forward to installing my headers and going back to Rockingham. I should be able to put them in by the end of the month. They are supposed to be here Tuesday.

KC,
You talked about upgrading your charge few months back. Are you going to stick with Vortech? My friend Shawn F. just installed a Procharger P1SC and getting 5-6 psi at 3.6" pulley. With 2.5" pulley, this charger can boost up to 20 psi with stock crank pulley. This charger is very nice. Love the self contained. Here is a picture of it in a 1991 LS400

How have you been? Haven't heard from you in a while.
I'd love the ability to be able to boost higher but right now I can't afford to buy another head unit. Plus, with 310+ rwhp, I'm probably getting close to the point where I would need to consider going inside the motor before adding too much more power. I'm not looking to change the internals unless something blows.

Another pic... I had to trim the sides of the cover quite a bit, but it fits and looks pretty nice. I'm pretty sure the hood isn't hitting it when closed. If it is it's just barely touching it.

Here's a pic of the idler pulley and the new supercharger pulley installed. Most of the dust seen is from the last belt that was badly misaligned, that stuff is hard to clean off.

On a side note, my headers are in Charlotte according to FedEx's website! Looks like they'll be delivered to me tomorrow!
I could use some advice on header back exhaust. I have know idea what would be optimal on my car. I do know that it needs redone since it's not currently mandrel bent and I have some nasty looking bends.

Guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have installed my headers. When I get a few minutes I'll start a new thread, post pics, and go over the mostly good news and a bit of bad news.

Hey guys, seems as though this thread is dying a little. LOL.
Anyway, have a few things to share.
In case anyone has missed it, I have a new header thread here. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=367942
Also make sure to check out some newer videos and new track times on posts 21 and 24.
I have a new best 1/8 mile time since the headers. 8.569! My past best 1/8 time was 8.686 at Rockingham with a quarter ET of 13.498. This is a significant improvement. 8.569 puts me somewhere between 13.2 - 13.3 in the quarter.
I'd bet with slicks I could bust the 12 - 13 second border. I would also bet a new 2.5 inch header back exhaust would allow me to break 13 seconds.

KC, those are great times! you are giving me hope for my quarter mile times.
About the thread dying, I know what you mean. We have about 5 active boosted 1uz project threads that is seems like just the owners are posting on. I guess everyone is waiting for something new to happen. Guess I will try to revive mine with stage II soon.

On your thread, for some reason I can never get to the last page. Any idea why?

I am really excited to see your numers drop and drop. I wish my stand alone would arrive so I can start playing at the strip. Its crazy, its been so long I allready have plans to tear it apart.
I think some slicks will push you in the 12's, very impressive for a car that still serves as a Daily driver!
