Yes. It's an affordable ($50) common fix for people who are using Supra MKIII R154's which have cable-drive speedo gears. Very easy to install and very reliable. JDM Soarer R154's (both the early style and "tripod" style) do not require this since they already have a three-wire VSS sensor just like SC300 and MKIV W58's.

I also recommend you also use a Yellr Yellowbox V4 speedo corrector to intercept the three-wire VSS signal and correct it for the transmission's speedo gear, the changed OD of your rear tires and whatever rear end ratio you may have changed from stock. Yellr sells an optional plug-and-play harness for this which was specifically made for MKIV Supras and SC300's. There are DIY instructions to install it on these forums (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...ml#post7250024). It can be adjusted to correct for speedometer read changes +/- down to tenths of a percent. Set it, hide it in the console and forget about it. All solid state based with dip switches-- no GPS (although you will need to use your own GPS unit just to tell you your actual speed for the calibration).
