Hi,
I did a search but could not find a definitive answer. I have a mkIII r154 from Japan so I already have the jz bellhousing. I was wondering what kinds of tranny mounts, crossmember can I use. Can I use a w58 transmission crossmember and mount, or do I need to source a Soarer crossmember and mount? I have had mixed results in my search, I have seen w58 crossmembers fit perfectly with a Soarer r154 from a thread in club na-t forums. Just wondering if is the same case for a jdm mkIII r154.
Thanks for the info

So it seems to me.. the soarer r154 does have the same tranny mount and crossmember positions as the w58. Well.. At least in this year of sc300 and soarer. But what about the mkIII jdm r154???? any insight??

This is buggin the crap out of me. I will have some pics tomorrow morn hopefully shedding some light. I just looked at my mkIII jdm r154 crossmember and tranny. The places where tranny mounts bolt to the tranny look different then the pic above.. But maybe it just looks that way since I didnt get a good look at everything

Well actually having done this....
the r154 cross member is different from the W5X. But the bolt pattern to the rubber mount is the same.
Its only off by a few mm, slotting and welding new washers does the trick (fitting to a JZA80 chassis)

The mount DOES works fine... perfect fit. The cross member WILL need work. (referring to my application in the JZA80).
I used the W5X cross member on the R154 MKIII box in the JZA80. Meant it bolted to the box and was the closest fit to the chassis. Get some 3mm thick washers, slot it, weld it.
