Default ?'s on 1JZ-GTE head on 2JZ-GTE block...

From what I understand, the 1JZ-GTE head will bolt on the 2JZ-GTE block. How easily? I mean all the bolt holes line up, and it fits as if it was meant to be or is there some mods required? Also, use 2JZ head bolts? Thanks!!

The more important question is why bother? The 2j head outflows the 1j head, so there's no gain in running this combo.

Maybe he just has a 2jzgte short block and wants to go 1.5JZ, I doubt he has the complete 2jzgte longblock and just wants to put a 1jz head on it. And as far as I know the 1j head will go on the 2jzgte shortblock with no issues. Here's a crazy twist there's a guy on SF that's putting a 2jzgte head on a 1jzgte short block
