Transmission just **** the bed after about a month and a half of abuse. Will know more when we pull it.

Well, it was rolling a sportbike on the highway. I guess it was making enough power!

450-500ish?

Awww, I can't believe the transmission took a dump.

Guess we're back to square one in the search for a Toyota R154 alternative yet again.

We're not back to square one yet. That car was making big power.

This could be as easy as upgrading a shift fork, but until Pantherqs comes back and tells us, it's still the best option over a worn out old R154.

Entirely my fault. Forgot one of the dowels, whoops. Also just found out that when the transmission was drained there was a tiny bit of metal soup happening and I was never told so the trans was destined for failure from the get go. There's quite a bit of lateral movement from the shaft and chunks of bearing in the fluid so its proper****ed. Going to buy a brand new 0 mile tranny, slap it in and see what it can really take.

LOL. Remind me who's hating again? I implied that it was unfortunate the tranny blew. Nothing else.

Relax.

Besides rebutting a bit late, what you we're implying is that we had to give up entirely, and find something else.

All from a one liner, from a guy who isn't even *really a part of this forum.

We can't always take Internet Heresay, and make it fact. Here is a great example of this.

So to back track and clear up what everybody seems to have gotten confused on :
- swapped the tranny.
- tranny **** the bed
- everyone, with one or two excluded, says damn that blows.
- people freak out chaos begins, man-bear-pig eats live babies.
- the fella comes on here and says he forgot to install something
-arguing is done. Awesome
So anywho what's the progress on this beast ?
