Default Finally got my stock 1jz dyno'ed:

Yea, wanted to get a baseline before I start my list for BPU. I am not looking for a 500hp+ monster, 300-350rwhp would do me just fine. The Tech (peter) said the car is running rich but other than that pulls strong. His recommendation is SAFC, boost controller and Fuel system.(pump and injectors), along with a FMIC. May need the FMIC sooner, because he said the stock one has seen better days. LOL. Anyway, this is going to be my fun commuter car. I don't want it to become a money pit for mods. "Got and wife and kid for that . Want to thank a few peeps for thier input and knowledge, "CHerplex, Brand also Peter of ISP:Infinite Speed & Performance here in DC area.

Now to start collecting parts.
Oh only mods so far is Blitz intake and magnaflows. Upgraded clutch that came with the car.

Also shout out to RADSC (howard) for selling me a great car.

Didn't know a SMIC's wore out. Leaking connections perhaps and those are repairable.

An oem SMIC is more than capable of flowing the modest numbers you're after and a FMIC is a violation of your "money pit" rules if your actually serious about that. A great many Supra's TT made those numbers on the oem set up on the 2j, a 1j should not overwhelm it.

The "bling" factor of the FMIC seals the deal for most who what a visual. You're not going to get much if any bang for the buck at 300 hp with it.

Issue with heat soak problem I guess, nothing about it being "wore out" is what he was explaining to me. Crap on it looks like road debris and such. The splash shield looked like it seen better days. FMIC/SMIC is all well within my budget. "Money Pit" = "Reaching the threshold of deminishing returns"
92 SC with $20k of engine work. my budget is $3000

here's the website, Owner name is peter, really cool guy. He knows Cherplex and Brad very well. Charges $85 for 3 pulls., prices for tuning is on the website. Where are you in Maryland? I live in Upper Marlboro. We will have to hook up and compare notes. My buddy is having his built in Delaware hopefully it will be down next week. My name is NATE by the way everyone in NELOC knows me.
