my exhaust
hey guys i dont know if this is a repost but i was trying to install my exhaust today and i noticed that the bolts were welded in place its the connection after the axle is this normal? and does anyone know a good way to remove the welding so i can take off the bolts? thanks in advance lemme know if this topic has been discussed before...

no thats not normal. just cut it off and weld your new exhaust on, or have an exhaust shop do it. even if you do break the welds free ur still probably not going to be able to unscrew it becuase the threads will be messed up. more pain than its worth.

Hate to dig up this old thread again but...
I am wanting to add my own mufflers without destroying my stock mufflers bolt on status (In case I do not like the sound or look of my choice and I can easily switch back to stock until I find another setup). When I go to remove the bolts, they are tack welded in place. Now the back side or the nut seems to be round??? Am I mistaking or am I just not getting the socket to seat right? Anyone please confirm this.
Thanks
