Unhappy Engine troubles. Need diagnosis help.

Alright, new to this forum. If I've posted in the wrong place just redirect me and delete this thread. Anyways I've got a 96 SC300 and I'm pulling an EGR code. But my EGR isn't broken. Anyways the problem is that when slowing the car down(below 5 mph) or stopping my idle drops to about 350 and it feels like I've got a set of 280 cams in there. The engine is 100% bone stock with 95k on it. The car is also an auto. If I sit still for a minute or so the idle returns to normal. But of course as a dd real world conditions don't always let you do that. If I try to move before it returns to normal the engine stalls out and I have to put it in park and restart it. Anyone have any ideas as to what it may be? It feels kinda like letting off the clutch without giving it enough gas. This doesn't seem to be a common problem, I've been looking all over the web and talking to all of my mechanic friends, no one has any ideas as to what it may be. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

How do you know you're EGR is not broken? This kind of problem is discussed regularly. There are many potential problems. Some have found solutions by replacing the fuel ECU, fuel pump, MAFS, TPS, and yes the EGR also. Or it could be in need of a tune up or seafoaming. This type of poor idling seems to be a common problem and there are a multitude of solutions. GL.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. Oh well time to start replacing parts and crossing fingers.
