The 1st SC400 4.7l With Tundra Block
I recently drove David's SC400 4.7L with Tundra block today and it's so impressive. He has:
1995 SC400
Tundra block with forged pistons 8.8:1 compression
Ported SC heads with oversized valves & stronger springs
Stage II cams
Bored out 4.7L
245/35/19 front tires
275/30/19 rear tires
Stock ECU
Stock headers and exhaust
The result is when I launched at the dead stop, the car spins & chirps the rear tires immediately and goes up to 60 mph in a few seconds. The RPM goes quickly to 6500 RPM with no hesitation. There's no lag whatsoever. This is with David weighing 170 lbs as the passenger and me with 155 lbs. Also, the car is still in its breaking in period. Only 100 miles so far. It doesn't drive like the SC at all. I happened to test-drive the 2004 LS430 and it's not that fast comparing to this SC470. We will dyno the car very soon after it's broken in, and we'll post more videos.
The idle is just so perfect. Holding the steering wheel is just like in stock condition. It only vibrates the seat a little bit more than usual, along with a little more exhaust sound that can be heard. Well, it's stage II cams.
Here are the few videos of the car at the initial start up: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...y=sc400+tundra
This is not all. The twin T3-T04S is in progress.

The car is definitely impressive, I drove it before he went to your house Steve
Throttle response is amazing, car comes to life with no hesitation, I would have drove it much harder but too many slow cars kept getting in my way...
I wish I had him record videos as I was zooming up and down my street with it, sounds amazing even with stock exhaust!

I took the test drive today too. Very impress with the result. I was there when steve and David took off and the wheels chip pretty hard. Thats pretty good for stock NA motor. We did a small quick race from the light and my 2jz TT couldn't take him on the launch. Can only play catch up when turbo kick in. Result I'm very impress with the 4.7L motor. Definitely want David to help me build another one to put into my LS.

NICE! Wow that's amazing, lextreme did lower the compression right? I wonder what the stock compression + the heads equal up to. This is very impressive! I'm glad that I entered the realm of the 1uz! It's very inspirational! Seeing all these boosted sc4, and hell this looks like a good all motor setup!

It'd cost similar to a supercharger set up. Ask David at www.lextreme.com and he'll tell you.
This engine will pump more generous power with tuning, complete exhaust, and high compression pistons if you tend to go NA all the way. I'd say it can make more than 100 hp additional easily.

You think it would be possible to run a 5spd manual tranny with this setup in the SC? If so, i would be real interested in this as I am that close to going the GTE route but id like to do something more creative and exciting.
