Im a fan of Rush Import Headers. They bolt on (minus EGR - you can delete EGR or weld a bung on for it ( i would delete it)) and they are long tube headers with the option of 2.25 or 2.5 at the end.

Cheap too

$480 usd + ship (about $100usd) or so.

I know a friend that bought an Ebay one for his 92 Celica, reinforced the welds and has been using it for several years with no problems. He got his powder coated black to eliminate the ricey "chrome" look that discolors over time.

The price at 900+ dollars is a little steep.

Another option is to wait for a super cheap header that Lextreme is trying to bring in. If you go to lextreme.org you'll see a thread where people are signing up.

Is the price listed in AUD?

Also the price difference of 100 is from the difference in extractor size 2.25 vs 2.5?

On their site is AUD, my price i gave was in USD.

Im pretty sure they use larger piping through out the whole header (justify the extra).

Neil (owner of rush imports) is a great guy to work with.

S&S Headers makes them with the EGR bungs welded in place. They did have a cracking problem, but resolved that issue and warrantiede all the cracked ones, to the best of my knowledge. Although they bolt up, you will need to make a few modifications to your exhausts, any muffler shop should be able to handle the change. They are priced around $600 last I checked.

I read you have to pull the steering rack to install the S&S headers. How about the others?

I do not know how true it is, but according to EK tuning, all you have to do is loosen the engine mount and lift the engine just a little bit.

In the past ive been advised not to go with the s&s headers because they hang too close to the ground and fabbing is needed. It seems like the header question has always been up in the air for this car and no company has really nailed it yet. ive just been told in the past that ek tuning has come the closest to being a sure thing

Headers are a ***** to install, but no need to remove the rack. Jacking up the motor will allow the few bolts to be loosened up.
