Where do these plugs go?
Guys,
I have just replaced my engine harness and there are a couple of plugs I have not found homes for. The car is NA-T and the EGR has been deleted, so that may be why I am not finding homes for the plugs. Anyway, if anyone could either.
A. Tell me what the plug is for;
B. Tell me where it goes;
C. Show me a picture of where it goes
I would be greatly appreciative
Here they are
This at the back of the WP below the cap.
Thank you guys,
Jonny

Hey Johnny hows it goin?
I'm using the AEM as well . And have deleted my EGR ....
I have 2 unused connectors behind the intake manifold. 1 of wich is the EGR, as you mentioned. The other, I forget what it was for. But there are 2 unused.
I know for sure that i dont have the connector in the last pic connected to anything. I believe its a VSV?
The 3rd pic , the connector with all the tape. I believe connects under the power steering reservoir.
As for the other connectors......
In Pic 4, Im not positive, but believe its either the oil, coolant temp , or knock sensor. But see if theres an open connector on the lower part of the engine.
Now that grey connector under the water pump....Can you see where it leads to?

Thank you for the response man - greatly appreciate it.
Well, you would think the connector underneath the WP would go right to that open plug - but nope Not the same plug. Checked my old harness and it was the same thing. Not sure what it is but I guess mine has not been connected ever. Can't work out where that plug goes though...
I will tape up the VSV plug if you are certain it isn't being used.
I will do some research on the other ones.
Could you do me a favor and see if you have anything plugged in that one by the WP? Thanks man.
Sounds like we are running a pretty similar setup - any pics you have of your engine bay would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jonny

The first is the connector that plugs in under the power steering reservoir.

That is actually not the plug I am looking for a home for. I actually already have that one plugged in...
Now the plug in my first picture going under the WP above the ALT - do you have anything plugged in there??
I need to find a home for that brown plug...
Hmmmmmm
Thanks again for your help - greatly appreciated.

This is the EGR connector , wich i do not have connected to anything. There is also another connector i have disconnected very close to that 1 , Its hard to get a good enough view though to take a pic. But it is just below my thumb.

Awesome man - thank you
Do you actually have this plugged in? My plug that I have doesn't look like that... On either my old or new harness...
Also, the part you said that goes to the PS reservoir area is not actually it. There is one very similar going to this area but I already have that one plugged in...
Hmmmmmm
Thanks again for your help - greatly appreciated.

OK - some more questions for you.
On the harness where you have 2 big plugs that connect to the bottom of your fusebox, there is a plug (white and orange/black) - can you tell me where that goes?
Will have more to come

BTW I believe this is that orangish brown connector? If it is, it plugs in just to the lower left of the dipstick.
Also that other unconnected plug i mentioned close to the EGR plug is light blue.

Engine oil dipstick or transmission dipstick? I don't have the stock transmission anymore so I am wondering if this plug you are talking about (#4in my pictures) is for that. What exactly does it plug into?
Thanks again for helping me man - I really appreciate it I owe you a beer!

Also im sorry i was mistaken, The plug in pic #3 isnt the pwr steering connector. But I think is this 1 wich is the oil level sensor.

Im pretty sure thats the same 1 as in your pic #4, My camera isnt the best but if you look just to the left and down of the dipstick you can see the orangish brown plug.
It goes to the starter or that vac tank i believe.
