Should I install the Gated Shifter?
Picked up a gated shifter from a fellow member not too long ago. It didn't come with the wood surround so I had to think about what to use. Didn't really want to purchase a new wood surround so decided I could use a manual shift boot I had laying around. It does take some permanent modding like cutting into the shift boot plate or gated shifter itself.
So what do you guys think? Should I install this or sell it and move on?
Here are a few pics to show what it could look like:
1. Grey leather ****
2. Grey leather **** with shift boot
3. 5 speed **** with shift boot

OK sc300max the shifter upgrade is a must and brings up the car significantly. Dont back out it is easy to do. Use a fine grit sandpaper and a compound to clean up the face of the gated shifter and do not hide the beauty of the faceplate with a boot cover. It actually lights up nicely when installed-how about making a small bezel to get the gated unit to fit in the plastic from the shift boot console nicely. If you are handy you can have the shifter in your car fully functional within an afternoon's timeframe by following the good advice of gadget and other members. You will not regret it and it isnt that hard at all.

I can keep the gated shifter and purchase the surrounding plate, but its pretty expensive used or new. I probably rather put that few hundred towards something else.
