This is the absolute best alternative to buying a new high pressure line at the stealership.It works for 2jz-gte or 2jz-ge cars sorry 400 guys
Heres what you need (part numbers included)
2- EAR-9919DFJERL -6 AN to 16mm-1.5 adapter
1- EAR-130106ERL -6 AN JIC Hose end
1- EAR-134606ERL -6 AN 45 Deg. JIC Hose end
1 Foot of the earls powersteering line(very nice blue action holds 3000 psi )
You can reuse your copper crush rings or get new ones at the stealership.
that is a picture of the stock line vs. the new line(it eliminates the variable powersteering..no one really needs that.) By the way those arent MY ADIDAS!

Verry nice good info, any better steering responce from the shorter line? It looks like i will be going this route in a few weeks due to a little leak thats been getting on my nerves.

So with no variable steering response, what would you rate the steering effort to be? More like when you are driving slow(soft) or driving fast(hard)?

No offense to the OP as this is not directed toward him - but I am not understanding why this is such a big breakthrough for any of the people posting here. Measure out the legth you need, bring you leaking line to a hose shop and have them make a SS line with your fittings on either side. I have done it several times and it always works great

It can be made for 56.67 from summit. I didnt say I invented this fix but I thought it would be nice to have all the info you need a search button away.(The blue earls line is better than the braided stuff because it holds more psi) The steering response feels normal to me I never noticed the variable steering before. Here is a pic of it installed.

Very Nice VGnomore, but can you elaborate a little on the install? and Pro's to doing this that you noticed. Im sure everyone in here would like to finally end there horrid problem with there leaky PS Line. I just hope it will hold up to all that pressure.

The install is fairly simple just remove the battery(if you had a giant one like mine) remove cold side intercooler piping if you are Gte. Jack the car up. Unbolt the stock lines and bolt in the new line using the 45 degree end at the pump. Use caps to block the 2 vacuum lines that are left open when deleting the variable PS. Putting the line together is probably the hardest part it takes a lot of muscle to put the ends on. The ends and the line are specifically designed for powersteering and exceed factory equipment. My favorite reason is that it is around 800% cheaper than a factory replacement which will develop the same leak again.

I think it has more to do with the pride of a DIY thing...its always fun when its you doin the fixing instead of someone else.

Where was the leak located in the first place? Was it one of the metal crimp fittings? Thats where mine is leaking right now...
