Thoughts on the auto shift lever

Just a heads up on the gates shifter conversion... it is NOT an easy process and requires quite a large number of hidden parts, processes and costs to get working correctly. Including but not limited to custom work for the handle mounted button that you will loose in the process. If your considering doing this job search A LOT first and be well prepared both mentally and materially before you start.

Works and fits like stock. Only downside is that the cover for the screws is smaller than the ***** so there is a small gap around the base.

Basically, what I did was cut and reweld the supra shifter assembly to match the angle and center of the SC's, as well as having to extend it and the O/D button rod .75" to clear the "gate". Then I swapped it into the SC shifter assembly and adjusted the trans linkage.

Not too hard to do if you follow advice on these forums took me 3 hours. Requires a complete gated assembly and some know how- hardest part is correctly attaching the shifter to the transmission shifter mechanism- be prepared to get under your car. I heard a lot of gated shifter mystery tell I put it in, and again wasnt too bad...

Thats the grey area is the wiring. There is a good write up on here about the wring but the pictures for it are really blurry. I am considering gated shifter as well so this information would be a plus. I was always thinking I could just wait till I explode my transmission after i go 315's in the rear with LSd and forced indcution and then sawp in a 99+ sc4 tranny.
