Default neutral safety switch? or something else? :(

I cant figure this out.. Im assuming my neutral switch is goin... When im in drive... the car sometimes will go out of gear.. not physically the shifter moving but the D illumination goes away... And will be sloppy shifting.. This is in a 92 sc400.. If i hold the shifter up towards neutral.. itll reilluminate on the dash showing its back in drive.. Same thing with with the other gears too... I tried adjusting the linkage... but like I said it work sometimes and not others... its on and off... More likely the switch?

Thanks
