Default Gated shifter

For those of you have a gated shifter on pre-98... where should I tap the positive and negative wires for the lamp.

I also need where to tap the #2 wire.

Does anyone here know? I can't find the diagram or schematic for 98 gated shifter.

I got everything working except for those above. I just followed the diagram below.

or you could tap in the original illum wires that plugged into the bottom of the old shifter cover where the letters light up. Don't quote me but I think they were the bottom left two wires with the same plug orientation you have shown. Clear as mud right

Hey... do you know what color wires?

I have :

Green
Green
Gray
Blue
Black

I don't know which one is positive and negative. I did try the ashtray and still won't light up... I tapped every single wire.

Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks Gazi,

But those wires I posted are from the harness.

I made my diagram:

According to gadgetsc's diagram, the positive wire is Gray and negative is Blue... I hooked those up to the ashtray and still won't light up even the ignition is on. The parking lights are on too.
