major problems, please help

I replaced the coolant pipe to the heating core with a new one. Started car let run filled with anti freeze and turned car off, everything was fine. I turn car back on 5 minutes later and water is rushing out from beneath the engine and the motor is reving from 1.5K to 2.5k all by itself and my headlights are flashing on and in correspondent with the revs. What the hell is going on?
