Default driveshaft U-joint replacement

i was diagnosing what i thought was a bar carrier bearing on the driveshaft and upon removal i realized that the u-joint at the front of the rear half of the driveshaft (right behind the carrier bearing) is binding slightly in all directions.
are these u-joints replaceable? i REALLY do not want to drop lots of money on a new driveshaft.
